What currency can a money transfer be made in?

Answer: A money transfer can be made in RUR, USD or EUR depending on operating regulations of a location. You can find out at "Geography" link in what currencies money transfers are paid out at INTEREXPRESS locations.

What documents are required to send or to receive a money transfer? What is the maximum amount I can transfer?

Answer: To make a money transfer you should present your identification document and a power of attorney authorized by notary public - if you make a money transfer on behalf of another person.
You can find more detailed information on required documents at the following links: "How to send money", "How to receive a money transfer" and "Documents". The maximum amount of a money transfer of a resident is $5 000. Amount of a money transfer of a non-resident is not limited.

Can I send or receive a money transfer on the basis of a power of attorney?

Answer: Yes, you can. But a power of attorney should comply with the following requirements:

• a power of attorney should be authorized by notary public
• the text of a power of attorney should explicitly state that the power of attorney gives the right to receive money transfers
• if citizens of the Russian Federation would like to receive money transfers abroad, a power of attorney may be authorized by an embassy (consulate) of the Russian Federation abroad; if citizens of other countries would like to receive money transfers abroad, a power of attorney may be authorized by an embassy (consulate) of the Russian Federation abroad or by an embassy (consulate) of other states in the Russian Federation

How will the Beneficiary know that a money transfer has been sent?

Answer: The sender must first contact the Beneficiary to provide the money transfer control number and amount.
